For seniors
Listen to selected text at a comfortable pace while keeping the original webpage visible.
A simple Chrome extension for seniors, caregivers, and anyone who wants selected webpage text read aloud without changing the page layout.
Webpages can be crowded. Articles, portals, notices, instructions, and support pages can be hard to follow when text is small, dense, or tiring to read. RAFTECH.ORG Reader keeps the page intact and reads only the selected text aloud.
Listen to selected text at a comfortable pace while keeping the original webpage visible.
Help someone review online information without copying text into another app or reformatting the page.
Use page-safe highlights, larger controls, mini mode, and simple mode to reduce friction.
RAFTECH.ORG Reader does not rewrite the webpage. It uses a floating reader control box and page-safe highlighting so the original layout remains familiar.
When a webpage is too dense, choose the sentence or paragraph you need.
Selected text can be read aloud while the webpage stays in place.

RAFTECH.ORG Reader reads selected webpage text aloud. Browser voices are used by default. Optional online voices may be configured by the user through Microsoft Azure Speech, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, or Amazon Polly.
The extension uses selected webpage text so it can read that selected text aloud. It also stores reader preferences such as voice choice, reading speed, pitch, highlight style, control size, mini mode, and cloud provider choice.
If you enable optional online voices, you may enter provider credentials such as an Azure Speech key, Google Cloud API key, AWS access key ID, or AWS secret access key. These credentials are stored locally in Chrome extension storage on your browser and are used only to call the provider you configure.
Selected text may be sent to Microsoft Azure Speech, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, or Amazon Polly only when you choose cloud voice mode and use that provider for speech synthesis. Browser voice reading remains the default.
RAFTECH.ORG Reader does not sell user data, use user data for advertising, collect browsing history for analytics, collect location data, collect payment information, or use selected text for purposes unrelated to reading it aloud.
Reader preferences remain stored until you change them, clear extension data, or remove the extension. Provider credentials can be removed by clearing the credential fields in the Options page and saving your settings.
RAFTECH.ORG helps AgeTech founders, seniors, caregivers, and solopreneurs simplify tech, fix blockers, and build systems that are easier to trust.
